Tasha has always had what we thought was seasonal allergies. Recently, we found out its actually more than that. Throughout the house we have made a lot of changes. She was improving so much, but still not quite 100%. We finally resorted to removing gluten from her diet. The change has been miraculous!
Having been “gluten light” or avoiding gluten for quite a few years now, I was already experienced in gluten free. Tasha, on the other hand, is my bread junkie!
But, this has made her interested in learning to cook, which I’m really excited about. JuneBug is too. Tasha has been making her grilled cheese sandwiches almost every day after school! It cracks me up to get home from work and see her with two pans on the stove… one for her gluten free bread and the other for her sister’s.
With the start of October, Tasha has been asking about making gluten free pumpkin treats. So, we’ve rounded up a few we’re anxious to try. Since all 3 kids are allergic to artificial food coloring as well, we always look for dye free options as well.

Both Tasha and I love pumpkin. To me, pumpkin is yummy year round, but I do love the influx of it in the fall. We stock up on pumpkin coffee and enjoy it for months.
