Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Ideas

My birthday falls just two days prior to Cinco de Mayo. My mom has always associated my birthday with Kentucky Derby Day. But, in college, Cinco de Mayo was a great theme for my birthday! I truly love Mexican food, so it is kinda fitting. In more recent years my friend (whose actual birthday is May 5th) and I have celebrated our birthdays together… often after a long day working the church yard sale! Since that is the first Saturday in May every year, it’s always close to our birthdays. Since this year it’s kind of a trifecta… Cinco de Mayo, Kentucky Derby, and yard sale day (town-wide), I’ll have to have a mint julip and a margarita with my tacos!
