Once upon a time, I had aspirations of having a monthly post sharing my progress as I continue to grow and learn more about blogging. Of course, as I have shared, life just keeps happening! All the ideas flowing through my head, the projects, the things I want to share… plus 3 kids, my skincare business, and a part-time job… well, there just aren’t enough hours in a day! But I’m working on it. I’m working on getting better at time management and getting ahead of my writing schedule. Plus, I’m figuring out what I should DIY and what I should outsource.
Blog Along with Me
Since the whole monthly plan hasn’t worked for me yet, here’s the previous posts all in one place:

In addition to having so many project ideas running around in my head, I’m trying to master things I’m learning about blogging before moving on. And there is a lot to learn, it’s always changing!
Growing My Viewers
Social media is always changing. Understanding it and the constantly changing algorithms is a full-time job in itself! Part of what caused my overwhelm when I blogged the first time, was trying to keep up with everything on social media.
I just couldn’t keep up. And, everything is different now than from when I first started blogging. Heck, it’s different today from last week!
This time around, I’ve been focusing on mastering one form of social media at a time. I started with Pinterest because most of my traffic comes from my Pinterest followers. Learning to use Tailwind for Pinterest growth has been a game changer. It saves me so much time!
Since I’m scheduling everything myself (DIY) I need all the time savings I can get. Let’s face it, Pinterest can suck us in. Tell me I’m not the only one who could spend all waking hours of the day on Pinterest?
Next, I planned to learn more about Facebook or Instagram to grow the blog. With starting the (still a work in progress) Domestic Deadline Market, I hadn’t decided which would be next.
Outsourcing
The original idea for Domestic Deadline Market was years ago. It finally started to become a reality when I admitted I couldn’t bring all my ideas to life without help. Working with my talented friends has worked for all of us. Brainstorming ideas and working on products together is not only fun, but we’ve been able to progress as a team so much more than any of us could have alone.
So, when Social Network Elite reached out to me and offered me a month trial for their Instagram growth service, the decision was made for me!
And it’s been so cool! I’ll admit, I haven’t been great about posting on Instagram regularly, but I’m working on getting better. Social Network Elite has lots of great tips on their blog and my following has almost doubled in the past month.
This is huge, especially since I probably wasn’t going to get to learning more about Instagram myself until well after the holidays.
DIY
Now, with the pressure of learning how to grow my Instagram following off of me and working with my friends to create products for Domestic Deadline Market, I’m able to work on more projects and create more content for the blog.
It’s a win-win in my book.
After you check out Social Network Elite, be sure to hop over to the Domestic Deadline Market. Not only are we adding printables perfect for the upcoming holiday season, but we’ve got some fun freebies too!
