My Farmhouse Christmas Tree
Last year we upgraded to a 9-foot slim Christmas tree. I love it. Not only does it fit the room better, with our 10-foot ceilings, but the slim size works so much better.
This year I decided to try the tree in a different location than previous years. I’ve always wanted to have the tree in front of the window. O-Man helped me put the tree up, and he agreed.
There is only one problem with the tree in front of the window…
The daylight means I can see right through the tree!
Using some inexpensive garland and ribbon, I filled in the tree before adding any ornaments.
Then I added my knit ornaments and rustic twine ornaments.
And, that’s as far as I’ve gotten. I have to admit, I love having the tree in this spot. Plus, I’ve never had my try with a simple look like this before. My goal was a simple farmhouse Christmas tree, but we always add our ornaments collected over the years.
So, right now, I’m going to enjoy it the way it is. We’ll see what the kids say. and see if they want to add more ornaments or go with the simple look.
I love that buffalo check ribbon. It makes you tree really stand out. I would enjoy looking at this tree everyday. Good luck with asking the kids what they think. Mine always wanted MORE stuff.
So far, no one has commented about it needing more! I think I’m going to put the rest of the ornaments back in the basement and see what they say then!
