Did you catch my mention of starting the Domestic Deadline Market? If not, I’m excited to share we’ve listed some products and are offering our first promotion! More items are going to be added in the near future, but I wanted to get some Halloween ones out there since it’s already 1/3rd of the way through October. My friend Gayle and I have been working on turning the activities we did as the class moms into printables to be able to offer them to you. With many schools going to food free Halloween parties, it can be hard to bring in a “treat” to give the students. So, we also made coordinating pencil toppers to go along with the Bingo and activity projects. For a limited time, the pencil toppers will be free!
Bingo!
This is what actually started the whole idea of printable items to sell. A few years back, Gayle and I were both class moms to our sons’ classes. Between her two boys and my one, it was three different classes. The guidelines we were given was something fun to keep the kids busy for a half hour and no food.
Yes, no food on a holiday which is all about food!
Not even healthy snacks. No. Food. At. All.
Oh, and no bringing in pumpkins for them to paint (which had previously been very popular).
Gayle designed a simple Bingo game.
We did a little tweaking to the original design and now have 24 different boards!
Plus, we bundled it in both a color version and a black and white version.
Let the kids color in their own boards while they are waiting to get changed into their costumes. Our school has the kids bring them in, not wear them to school. They all get very impatient waiting for their turn to get ready!
Included with both the color and black and white versions of Bingo are calling sheets. Simply cut them up and pull from your witches hat!
The kids can mark their boards with an “X,” Bingo tokens, candy (if allowed in your school) or even pennies. I keep pennies in a jar so taking it in was the easiest thing for me. Then I let the kids keep the pennies and they were in heaven!
Activity Book or Placemat
The placemat idea had come to us when we were allowed to have food for parties. Providing a way to keep the kids busy while waiting to get their food and keep their desks at least a bit cleaner.
This placemat does print best on Tabloid paper (11″x17″). If you don’t have a printer that can print that large, it’s easy to send it to your local print shop.
With a little rearranging, the activities on the placemat are also available as an Activity Book. It prints on two standard pages. I simply used my paper trimmer to slice up the pages and staple them together. They could also be printed on card stock and used individually.
It doesn’t look like much by itself but there are 8 different activities, including math and word problems!
Pair the printed activity book with a small package of crayons and gift them to the Bingo winners or hand out as a take-home treat.
Pencil Toppers and Stickers
Gayle and I were having so much fun with these colorful Halloween images, we wanted to also offer pencil toppers. Again, this is actually two options bundled into one.
One file includes cut lines for making the pencil toppers. Simply print on card stock, cut out and use an Exacto knife to slice the cut lines. Even easier if you have a 2″ circle punch in your craft tools.
The second file in the set are all the same images without the cut lines. Using 2″ circle sticker paper, the images easily become stickers. Considering my 16-year-old still took a sticker from the pediatrician’s office this past week, I think it’s safe to say most kids love stickers.
A Halloween pencil with topper and stickers are also great for prizes or as take-home treats.
Options
We realize some people might want just one part of these printables and others might want all of them. So, they are available individually and as a complete bundle.
And, since we’re new to this whole shop thing, we’re offering the pencil toppers/stickers for free and a 10% discount on anything in the Domestic Deadline Market. Use the code FREEHALLOWEEN for the stickers/pencil toppers or DDOCTOBER for 10% off anything!
I’ve also partnered with my friend Lara, a tallented photographer, to offer stock images. Here’s one of my favorite, perfect for decorating this fall!
