Tips on how to earn free gift cards to use for big ticket items

This isn’t what I had originally planned for my post today, but sometimes you just need to share!  Because I’ve had a conversation with a few people lately, about how I get Amazon gift cards for free, I thought it was time to address this.  About two years ago I did two posts (part 1 and part 2) about how Swagbucks saves me money.  Some of that information is still relevant, but a lot has changed.

You’re probably wondering what this has to do with other topics on Domestic Deadline…. well, a lot actually!

You Can Get Free Gift Cards For Shopping, Searching and Discovering What’s Online at Swagbucks.com

I will frequently post links to products similar or the same as what I use. These are affiliate links (meaning I might earn a small commission if you make a purchase, which helps me cover the costs associated with running the blog).  Rest assured, I only post links to products I’ve own (or maybe really want myself).

Amazon almost always has what I need, so I frequently check, even if it’s just for pricing purposes.  I also save up gift cards and use them for big purchases.  Both girls’ beds came from Amazon, as did the TV we put in the basement for their hang out space. Recently we got several pieces of lawn care equipment free because of our Amazon gift cards.

How do I earn Swagbucks?

There are lots of ways to earn a variety of points.  Shopping, watching videos, games, answering surveys, searching and more.  Swagbucks can be earned on a computer or mobile device. There are lots of choices.  Some days I will only get a few points, other days I’ll get lots of points.  Every month I strive to earn at least 2200 Swagbucks because there is a discount on one $25 gift card, 2200 points equals $25.

Spend your Swagbucks!

Electronic gift cards are sent out a few days after your redeem your Swagbucks.  As soon as the email arrives, the gift card is usable.  Personally, I put it right into my Amazon account and let it add up. Then, when I need something big, I can get it at a reduced cost or even FREE, depending on how much I have saved! I’ve gotten craft supplies, tools, electronics, the list goes on.

Currently, I’m saving towards a few things I want for my kitchen remodel (like a range hood insert or maybe this kit to make mason jar pendant lights)!  Oh, the possibilities. What would you buy if you had free gift cards?
