Can you believe it’s already February? I just got used to writing 2018 and now I’m going to have to remember we are into February too. I feel a little behind with so much going on in our family, but I’m hoping to get caught up again soon. Especially since there are so many fun things to look forward to over the next few weeks! Not only do we have 2 birthdays to celebrate in our house, but Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras. Ok, I have to admit, I’ve never really celebrated Mardi Gras, but our mini round-up for Home Matters Link Party is all about the festive holiday today, so I’ll at least be making pancakes for Fat Tuesday! #MardiGrasIdeas #HomeMattersParty
Mardi Gras Ideas
The closest I’ve come to celebrating Mardi Gras is a work conference I organized close to 20 years ago. It fell on Fat Tuesday so we made it a Mardi Gras theme. We had beads, masks, and a baby cake… or something like that. There was a cake with a plastic baby doll baked into it. And we do occasionally go to a pancake dinner fundraiser at one of the local churches on Fat Tuesday. But, it’s hard to do that when Tasha needs to be gluten-free, so maybe we’ll do our own this year. Either way, check out these fun ideas!
