The Christmas spirit is really hitting me this year. And I’m so glad it is! Some years I struggle with the dark and cold weather and just see Christmas as a stressful time of year. With the majority of my Christmas shopping already finished, all the fun Christmas blogging events I’m participating in are, well, FUN! The 25 Days of Christmas Movies Blog Hop is one of my favorite Christmas events. This year I selected my favorite Christmas movie, Miracle on 34th Street, and my “We Believe” Santa Letter envelope. And be sure to enter the giveaway at the end!

Miracle on 34th Street
Last year I crocheted Buddy the Elf, and worked on it while watching the movie. I knew when I selected the movie I wanted to make a crocheted Buddy. This year, I didn’t know what my project was going to be!
Miracle on 34th Street has always been my favorite Christmas movie. Unfortunately, it isn’t my kids so I usually end up watching it by myself. I like both versions but especially love the original.
My favorite part is when the bags of mail are brought into the courtroom all addressed to Santa.
It gets me every time!
But it wasn’t until I got to that part of the movie that I had a clue as to what my project would be this year.
We Believe Santa Letter
I’ve been having fun making projects using the photo transfer technique my friend Lara taught me. She and I even started offering personalized handcrafted photo ornaments in the Domestic Deadline Market (pst… $10 off with code BlackFriday).
So I made up the image I wanted and flipped it, all in PicMonkey.
I started with a Dollar Tree Christmas sign, like my Christmas Countdown.
And painted the back with white chalk paint. It took a few coats to get an even finish.
I love how it turned out even though the Santa stamp wore off a bit.
